Dodow is a metronome with a light system that teaches you how to fall asleep naturally, without taking any medicine!
- Tap the touch-sensitive surface once for the 8-minute mode and twice for the 20-minute mode.
- At the end of the exercise (8 or 20 minutes) Dodow switches itself off.
- With Dodow, someone who normally takes 60 minutes to fall asleep will take no more than 25 - and will gain around hundred more hours of sleep per year.

CAN'T FALL ASLEEP ? TURN ON DODOW!
1.Breathe in rhythm with the light
The blue light is projected onto the ceiling. Breathe in rhythm with the light, inhaling when the beam expands and exhaling when it retracts.
2. The flow of your thoughts decreases
Focusing on the light takes your attention away from the thoughts that stimulate your waking state. With reduced brain activity, the process of falling asleep becomes smoother and quicker.
3. Carry on for 8 minutes
Breathing is the only part of the autonomic nervous system that can be controlled consciously. Maintaining a steady pace of 6bpm for long enough will trigger the baroreflex, a physiological mechanism that will correct the imbalance in the autonomic nervous system which is responsible for insomnia.
4. Your breathing gradually slows down
Dodow gradually slows down your breathing from 11 to 6 breaths per minute (bpm), in a regular, rhythmic pattern conducive to a relaxed state where the exhalation is longer than the inhalation.
HOW DODOW HELPS YOU:
By breathing long enough at the Dodow rhythm (6 respirations per minute), you stimulate the baroreflex, a small physiological mechanism that restores the balance of the autonomic nervous system. Thus, you will quickly pass from the alert state (activation of the sympathetic nervous system) to the resting state (activation of the parasympathetic nervous system), the same condition which you are in during digestion: slightly drowsy.
Synchronizing your breathing to a light pulse at a slow and steady rhythm has a hypnotic effect (the phenomenon is similar to watching a pendulum). Thus, after a few minutes you are able to let go and sleep.
After a few months, you will regain confidence in yourself, you will realize that your body knows how to fall asleep alone, when the mind or anxiety do not interfere. You can then take the place of Dodow!
A FEW QUESTIONS BEFORE MAKING YOUR DECISION
Why is the light blue?
Bright blue light can wake you up due to your body producing melatonin.
Don't worry, this isn't the case with Dodow! Our blue light is at a low intensity, plus you won't even be looking at it directly as it's projected onto the ceiling.
We've done numerous tests and this colour blue is proven to be the most efficient for helping you drift off to sleep.
Does it work with kids?
Yes! We've had parents tell us that their child used to take several hours to get to sleep, after the introduction of Dodow their child falls asleep in a matter of minutes. If your child is happy to use the product, you can help them to use it correctly and even do it with them the first time. The youngest child we've worked with was a 6-year-old.
Does the product come with batteries?
Dodow is delivered with batteries, all ready to help you get your precious shut-eye. The product uses AAA batteries which are pretty easy to find in shops - they're the same ones used in your remote control.
Does it turn off by itself?
Yes, Dodow turns itself off at the end of the exercise, after 8 or 20 minutes depending on the setting you have chosen.
